The Comfort of Being Out of Range For Closed Quarters Combat
April 10, 2007, as of this writing, marks a new all time low in the current Presidency's (or any former administration prior) approval ratings, and an all time high at the gas pumps. Nationwide, three dollars on average will fetch the bamboozled American taxpayer One Gallon of Unleaded Regular Gas. In the meantime, we have an out of control Executive Branch whose shallowness and ironic expectations of its military can only hold water for so much longer before there is an open revolt across the entire US Military. Battle-weary veterans and combat brigades, batallions, companies, squadrons, anything military in name and size, you name it, all of the country's resources have been stretched too thin for too long...and much to my dismay, it appears that the American Congress and Senate have displayed a weak backbone in pursuing the current administration to be held accountable for its missing $2 Trillion dollars in the Department of Defense Accounting System as of September 10, 2001.
Luckily for Donald Bumsfield and his whole merry crew of Pirates, the American Public never had a chance to question this missing cash and we had September 11, 2001, instead to joyously replace this serious question of accountability. Never mind that a soldier who pisses in a cup and misses the accepted THC levels predetermined for body weight and height receives a serious reduction in pay and grade, or that the Congress who amicably gives up its right to declare and approve war never is susceptible to random uranalysis tests, this is the face of the New Bolshevik Revolution HERE in America!!
I have long agreed with the stance that there will indeed one day be Martial Law nationwide here in America, but I had long preconceived it to be from the control of the Executive Branch. No longer. I now find the system repugnant and irrefutable, incontrevertible and uncontrollable by any means to the common populace who is supposedly a Democratic Majority, and I believe that the day will arrive soon here in America when the Military will have to essentially conduct its own "Coup d'tat" of the Executive and Judicial Branches of the Government and reassert its vows to the "Constitution of the United States of America and the Republic for which it stands".
So to all Military Personnel out there who may read these words, I ask of you to consider the oath which you swore and what it means. If there was ever a time that our Nation faced an enemy that was internal, this would be it. To stand readily for orders to a far-off land when our own border is being decimated by drugs and illegal aliens who are nothing more than invaders by any other name, is in itself a crime of high treason on the accounts of all officers, non-commissioned and field grade alike.
Wake now, or wake never...your nation calls you.
Your nation begs you.
Your nation screams of you.
Our borders are no more, as our sense of identity is no more.
Our land is now our Transgressors' land.
Our children have been sold into slavery, even as our children's children have been removed from any remaining sanctimony that there once may have been.

Hitler Bloodline Linked To Child Of American Icon Anna Nicole Smith

Unknown to these masses of people, however, is that the importance being placed upon Vickie Lynn Marshall lies not with this troubled young woman, but lies instead with her infant daughter Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern, who was born on September 7, 2006, and who after being born suffered the death of her brother Daniel Wayne Smith three days later on September 10, 2006.
(It is important that we note these dates of September 7th and September 10th due to their importance to the European Royal Houses, especially in light of the birth of Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern coming the day after the date in the proleptic Julian calendar the current era in the Maya Long Count Calendar started in 3114 BC, and to which these Royal Houses hold great significance in the ending date of December 20, 2012.

The FLAG Project at the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) filed suit against the Department of Defense today, demanding expedited information on how the Army monitors soldiers' blogs.
According to news reports, an Army unit called the Army Web Risk Assessment Cell (AWRAC) reviews hundreds of thousands of websites every month, notifying webmasters and bloggers when it sees information it finds inappropriate. Some bloggers have told reporters that they have cut back on their posts or shut down their sites altogether because of the activities of the AWRAC. EFF filed its suit after the Department of Defense and Army failed to respond to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests about the blog monitoring program.
"Soldiers should be free to blog their thoughts at this critical point in the national debate on the war in Iraq," said EFF Staff Attorney Marcia Hofmann. "If the Army is coloring or curtailing soldiers' published opinions, Americans need to know about that interference."
EFF's suit demands records on how the AWRAC conducts its monitoring, as well as any orders to soldiers about revision or deletion of web posts. It also demands expedited processing, as the information is urgently needed by the public.
"Of course, a military effort requires some level of secrecy. But the public has a right to know if the Army is silencing soldiers' opinions as well. That's why the Department of Defense must release information on how this program works without delay," Hofmann said.
EFF's FLAG Project uses FOIA requests and litigation to expose the government's expanding use of technologies that invade privacy. Previous lawsuits have demanded information about the FBI's huge database of personal information and the Department of Homeland Security's program to assign secret "risk assessment" scores to American travelers.

Well, well...what have we here? A Media Sponsored Event that blew the news into a frenzy!! Apparently eccentric millionaire Ted Turner is to be blamed for this one...and once again, it verifies what I've been saying all along here at GoodTimes: Watch your Widespread Panic, folks!! As already discussed here at this site, I am a regular attendant to the CNN/Phillips' Arena Widespread Panic concerts every New Years in Atlanta, and this story caught me by great surprise. After all, last New Year's Eve (the 2005/2006 year) was much like the stunt that ensued yesterday in Boston, Massachusetts. The 22,000 fans at the Phillip's were given a "Fake Countdown" before 11 PM Eastern Time, causing great confusion as many of the fans were aware that it was not yet Midnight. However, the "Actual" countdown at five till midnight was given on the Widescreens in the Phillips by characters from the Adult Swim Cartoon Network show, Aqua Teen Hunger Force!!
As I followed the mainstream news coverage of the event on Fox News Radio yesterday, I nearly drove into a ditch when I heard the "terror scare" was a publicity stunt for Aqua Teen Hunger Force!! As I have argued before in other related blogs, it seems that the sideshow attraction attached to Widespread Panic shows at the Phillips do indeed curtail future events!!
CHARLESTOWN, Massachusetts (CNN) -- Two men pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges they created panic by placing electronic light boards that caused a bomb scare Wednesday in Boston.
The boards depicted a cartoon character making an obscene gesture at passing motorists.
Assistant Attorney General John Grossman called the light boards "bomb-like" devices and said that if they had been explosive they could have damaged transportation infrastructure in the city. (Watch suspects avoid answering reporters' questions )
Asked by the judge to describe what the figure on the light box was doing, Grossman said, "Colloquially, he was flipping the bird, your honor."
Judge Paul K. Leary told Grossman that, according to law, the suspects must intend to create a panic to be charged with placing hoax devices. (Watch a Web video of men placing the light boards on structures around Boston )
It appears the suspects had no such intent, the judge said, but the question should be discussed in a later hearing.
Peter Berdovsky and Sean Stevens were released on $2,500 bail, said Mike Rich, their attorney. The next pretrial hearing is scheduled for March 7.
Both men were cooperative with authorities, and neither has a previous criminal record in Massachusetts, Grossman said.
At a news conference after the hearing, Stevens and Berdovsky stepped to the microphones and said they were taking questions only about 1970s hairstyles.
When a reporter accused them of not taking the situation seriously, Stevens responded, "We're taking it very seriously." Asked another question about the case, Stevens reiterated they were answering questions only about hair and accused the reporter of not taking him and Berdovsky seriously.
Reporters did not relent and as they continued, Berdovsky disregarded their queries, saying, "That's not a hair question. I'm sorry."
Their attorney said the two were putting on a "performance," and noted that he had told them not to discuss the case.
On Wednesday, Boston authorities shut down bridges and a stretch of the Charles River. The scares sparked criticism of Turner Broadcasting System Inc., the parent company of CNN, because the cartoon moon men were part of a guerrilla marketing campaign to promote the late-night Adult Swim cartoon "Aqua Teen Hunger Force." The moon men, or Mooninites, as they're known to the show's faithful, are delinquent outer-space men who make frequent appearances on the program. Photographs of the devices show several tiny lightbulbs protruding from a circuit board that houses wiring and at least four batteries.
Berdovsky, 27, a freelance video artist from Arlington, Massachusetts, and Stevens, 28, face charges of placing a hoax device in a way that results in panic, as well as one count of disorderly conduct, said Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley. The hoax charge is a felony, she said.
According to his Web site, Berdovsky is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art who goes by the nickname "Zebbler." Berdovsky, a Belarusian, has a green card and is seeking asylum in the United States, Rich said.
Devices for sale on eBay
As of Thursday afternoon, at least four of the devices were being sold on the online auction site eBay -- two from Boston, one from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and one from Atlanta, Georgia, the owners said.
The top bid so far was $625.
Rich said the company that hired the two to install the devices told them where to put them -- under bridges and overpasses -- so people in cars would see them.
A Web site, www.zebbler.com, features a video of people assembling the moon men light boards and driving around Boston installing them on buildings and other structures. Turner Broadcasting has said a third-party New York advertising firm, Interference Inc., conducted the campaign, and the Web video's introduction states, "The Interference Information Network takes on the ATHF," referring to "Aqua Teen Hunger Force."
Interference Inc. had no comment on the incident.
Mayor calls stunt "outrageous"
Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis called the stunt "unconscionable," while Boston Mayor Thomas Menino called it "outrageous" and the product of "corporate greed." Democratic Rep. Ed Markey, a Boston-area congressman, added, "It would be hard to dream up a more appalling publicity stunt."
Phil Kent, TBS's chairman and CEO, issued an apology to the city and said in a statement that police were notified as soon as Turner realized the marketing campaign was mistaken for something sinister.
"We also directed the third-party marketing firm who posted the advertisements to take them down immediately," Kent said in a statement. (Read the full statement)
But while Menino and Coakley called the apology inadequate, others disregarded Boston's response as much ado about nothing.
Twenty-two-year-old Todd Venderlin, a design student at the Parsons School of Design in New York City, saw one of the devices two weeks ago as he left a lounge in south Boston, according to The Boston Globe. He said he was stunned when he saw bomb squads removing them.
"It's so not threatening -- it's a Lite-Brite," he told the newspaper, referring to the children's toy that allows its users to create pictures by placing translucent pegs into an opaque board. "I don't understand how they could be terrified. I would if it was a bunch of circuits blinking, but it wasn't."
Devices in place for weeks
Turner said the devices have been in place for two or three weeks in Boston; New York City; Los Angeles, California; Chicago, Illinois; Atlanta, Georgia; Seattle, Washington; Portland, Oregon; Austin, Texas; San Francisco, California; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
However, only in Boston did the light boards create such a furor. In Seattle and several suburbs, the signs were removed without fuss, according to The Associated Press.
"We haven't had any calls to 911 regarding this," Seattle police spokesman Sean Whitcomb told AP on Wednesday.
Police in Philadelphia told AP that authorities had confiscated 56 of the devices. In New York, a street was shut down for 45 minutes after two of the devices were found on an overpass, the New York Post reported. In all, 41 of the devices were found in the city, according to the newspaper.
In Portland, police Sgt. Brian Schmautz said officers had no plans to remove any of the signs, so long as they weren't on municipal property. Nor had officers been dispatched in any kind of bomb scare related to the devices.
"At this point we wouldn't even begin an investigation, because there's no reason to believe a crime has occurred," Schmautz said.
In Boston, however, state, local and federal authorities on Wednesday shut down the Boston University and Longfellow bridges, and blocked maritime traffic from the Charles River into Boston Harbor. Bomb squads scrambled throughout the city and its suburbs, snarling traffic and mass transit in the city.
Coakley and Menino did not rule out the possibility of criminal charges, or a civil suit to recoup what they say is the hundreds of thousands of dollars the city spent to respond to the bomb scares.
Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority spokesman Joe Pesaturo said the legal department is sending Turner a letter asking the company to reimburse the city for all costs incurred during the incident, but the authority had no plans to unilaterally file a lawsuit.
Coakley, who said she didn't learn of the devices until Turner sent a fax to City Hall about 5 p.m. Wednesday, said Turner did not provide the locations of the devices. Officials believe there were 38 light boards placed around Boston, some on private property, she said. As of Thursday morning, 15 had been recovered, Boston police spokesman Eddie Chrispin said.
"It had a very sinister appearance," Coakley told reporters. "It had a battery behind it, and wires."
Asked whether Massachusetts authorities have the jurisdiction to arrest people out of state, Coakley said she believed they would if the offenses took place in Massachusetts. Turner Broadcasting's headquarters is in Atlanta.
Adult Swim shares channel space with Cartoon Network, another Turner enterprise. The Cartoon Network broadcasts during the day and is aimed at a younger audience. At night, Adult Swim takes over the airwaves with its more mature programming.

Bloggers Who Criticize Government May Face Prison
You'd be forgiven for thinking that it was some new restriction on free speech in Communist China. But it isn't. The U.S. Government wants to force bloggers and online grassroots activists to register and regularly report their activities to Congress in the latest astounding attack on the internet and the First Amendment.
Richard A. Viguerie, Chairman of GrassrootsFreedom.com, a website dedicated to fighting efforts to silence grassroots movements, states:
"Section 220 of S. 1, the lobbying reform bill currently before the Senate, would require grassroots causes, even bloggers, who communicate to 500 or more members of the public on policy matters, to register and report quarterly to Congress the same as the big K Street lobbyists. Section 220 would amend existing lobbying reporting law by creating the most expansive intrusion on First Amendment rights ever. For the first time in history, critics of Congress will need to register and report with Congress itself."
In other words Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats may redefine the meaning of lobbying in order that political communications to and even between citizens falls under the same legislation.
Under current law any 'lobbyist" who 'knowingly and willingly fails to file or report." quarterly to the government faces criminal charges including a possible jail term of up to one year.
The amendment is currently on hold.

Despite a total lack of any evidence that children are being victimized en mass by bloggers or people who leave comments on blog sites, it seems likely that the proposal will become legislation in some form. It is well known that McCain has a distaste for his blogosphere critics, causing a definite conflict of interest where any proposal to restrict blogs on his part is concerned.
In recent months, a chorus of propaganda intended to demonize the Internet and further lead it down a path of strict control has spewed forth from numerous establishment organs:
During an appearance with his wife Barbara on Fox News last November, George Bush senior slammed Internet bloggers for creating an "adversarial and ugly climate."
- The White House's own recently de-classified strategy for "winning the war on terror" targets Internet conspiracy theories as a recruiting ground for terrorists and threatens to "diminish" their influence.
- The Pentagon recently announced its effort to infiltrate the Internet and propagandize for the war on terror.
- In a speech last month, Homeland Security director Michael Chertoff identified the web as a "terror training camp," through which "disaffected people living in the United States" are developing "radical ideologies and potentially violent skills." Chertoff pledged to dispatch Homeland Security agents to local police departments in order to aid in the apprehension of domestic terrorists who use the Internet as a political tool.
- A landmark legal case on behalf of the Recording Industry Association of America and other global trade organizations seeks to criminalize all Internet file sharing of any kind as copyright infringement, effectively shutting down the world wide web - and their argument is supported by the U.S. government.
- A landmark legal ruling in Sydney goes further than ever before in setting the trap door for the destruction of the Internet as we know it and the end of alternative news websites and blogs by creating the precedent that simply linking to other websites is breach of copyright and piracy.
- The European Union, led by former Stalinist and potential future British Prime Minister John Reid, has also vowed to shut down "terrorists" who use the Internet to spread propaganda.
- The EU also recently proposed legislation that would prevent users from uploading any form of video without a license.
- We have also previously exposed how moves are afoot to clamp down on internet neutrality and even to designate a highly restricted new form of the internet known as Internet 2.
Make no mistake, the internet, one of the greatest outposts of free speech ever created is under constant attack by powerful people who cannot operate within a society where information flows freely and unhindered. All these moves mimic stories we hear every week out of State Controlled Communist China, where the internet is strictly regulated and virtually exists as its own entity away from the rest of the web.
The phrases "Chinese government" and "Mao Zedong" have even been censored on China's official Web sites because they are "Sensitive phrases". Are we to allow our supposedly Democratic governments to implement the same type of restrictive policies here?
Under section 220 of the lobbying reform bill, Infowars.net could be required to seek a license in order to bring this information to you. IF we were granted a license we would then have to report our activities to the government four times per year in order to bring you this information. Does that sound more like free speech or more like totalitarianism?

Look closely....and you will see that the Skull and Bones fly even on stage with one of America's Premiere Rock 'n' Roll acts, Widespread Panic.
Welcome to the first edition of the Goodtimes 2007 ! This will be the first blog to speak of an actual good time, rather then the usual over-accentuated sarcasm affiliated with this blog's title. As many who know my rites of passage, the six hour drive to Atlanta, GA, every New Year's Eve is an annual tradition of mine celebrated with 22,000 other people...all whom know a thing or two about having a good time with one of the greatest American Folk Musicians of Our Time, Widespread Panic.
A band who first appeared on the scene in the early 90s alongside the traveling entourage of Neil Young's HORDE tours, Widespread Panic played on stages opposite of many other well known artists such as the Dave Matthews Band, Blues Traveller, and the original Kryptonite meisters, the Spin Doctors. While most of these bands (the Dave Matthews Band being the only exception) have faded into obscurity, Widespread Panic has done just the opposite, and turned from the path of a moment's fleeting fame to the title of an all-encompassing extravaganza that culminates with a bang every New Year's Eve at the heart of downtown Atlanta. To put it bluntly, Widespread Panic is the best kept secret of the South. No other band touring today has a more loyal entourage, and their fans will whoop, holler, and scream for Panic's continued presence on stage for the difference between a two or three song encore! Panic plays an unrelenting style all unto its own, while yet covering so many musical classics, that simply following and trading their shows is likened unto an educational experience in itself.
For the past eight years, Widespread Panic has broke the rules of the so-called "conventional" music scene by the simple fact that they have consistently sold out 15 New Year's Eve shows at the Phillips Arena, an adjacent facility cornholed with the headquarters of CNN's downtown Atlanta office. The sight every year is always the same:mass crowds of vendors and overnight art vendors set up shop in the heart of Atlanta close to the Centennial Park and CNN; all who pawn their wares usually engaging in a desperate year-end sales blowout just to salvage some profit from what they could not sale during the previous year on tour with the boys from Athens, GA. Whatever one makes of it, Panic brings big business and profit with them wherever they go, and the vendors who promote them are usually rewarded with sold-out beer receipts in the booths, which are usually followed by whatever remaining concessions that exist by a show's end being sold out as well.
For myself, the Widespread Panic experience has been nearly a decade, and following the Boys is always a welcome escape from the shitty, oppressing reality that is America today. John Bell, lead vocals and rhythm guitar on a Washburn, is a true success story, as is Bassist Dave Schools, Keyboardist John "Jo-Jo" Herman, Percussionist Domingo "Sunny" Ortiz, drummer Todd Nance, and now the newest lead guitarist to join the family after the tragic passing of Michael Houser, Jimmy Herring. And as a fan of the Lingering Lead with An Honest Tune, Michael Houser has been a tough act to replace. Being a down-south Mississippi Boy myself, when Panic originally replaced the cancer-stricken Houser with local Oxford Mississippian George McConnell, watching the transfer was painful at first, but an experience that improved with time as the guitarist learned to somewhat assimilate with the band's progressive, jazzy, latin-improv, southern-rock style. George helped fill a void when the band could have stopped completely.
New Year's Eve at the Phillips on December 31, 2002, would be a turning point in the band's ability to prove staying power. After tragically losing their leading guitarist and founder, the ability to perform and measure up to an expected sound would push the envelope as to whether or not there would be future gigs at the Phillips. To fill that void, the show would have to incorporate several elements of the audio-visual senses. Whether it was incorporating several guest musicians to help various songs along or playing incredible movies on the big screens in the Phillips, Panic took a stand and proved their musical genius along with their intellectual forebodings in the 02/03 NYE show. Playing on the visceral gut feeling that was entwining the nation leading up into our invasion of Iraq in the Spring of 2003, Panic graced the Phillips' big screens with images of the Renaissance and various other imagery associated with Christianity and the Rise of the Western Democracy that is now called America after the midnight countdown had commenced. At one point, black and white film reels depicting old Hollywood's version of Babylon and later on a cartoon of an animated Betty Boop dancing in a ring of fire that turns into a ring of dancing mushrooms is shown. Betty Boop is then removed and surrogated by a different image, the so-called Star of David, and bassist Dave Schools takes the audience out of the drums solo into a spirited melody of the Christmas carol, The Little Drummer Boy. This was the defining moment for me, the end-all, be-all doubts remover that Widespread Panic was indeed still on top of their game. Panic is all about that conversation that they have with your mind while watching them play...and one of the chief reasons I laugh at the morbid, brain-washed madrosses who crawl to the tune of Satan's Radio Stations all across America and have no idea who this great Southern Rock Band is just because Clear Channel does not play Panic's format on their stations.
And this New Years' Eve show was just as pivotal; Panic's newest member, Jimmy Herring, would have to say hello to the masses and put on a performance to remember, and that he did. Old Panic classics, such as Imitation Leather Shoes, have found new life as Herring can apparently rip into the leads with a scream that I have not heard since the days of Houser. The hairs on my arm stood up and my throat felt crushed as the howl of Imitation Leather filled up the arena, and I asked my wife if she could still stand. Panic is back, and with a bang from the Third Stone from the Sun.
